Chelsea FC manager Liam Rosenior has lavished praise on Moises Caicedo, describing the midfielder as one of the finest in his position globally.
Ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League encounter with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, Rosenior spoke highly of Caicedo’s impact and importance to the team.
He pointed to the Ecuadorian’s football intelligence, physical strength, and technical ability as qualities that set him apart at the highest level.
“For me, he is one of the best defensive midfield players, if not the best defensive midfield player in world football,” Rosenior said at his pre-match press conference.
“His intelligence, his physicality, his technical quality, how he understands the game. He’ll be huge for us on Sunday (against Manchester City).”
Rosenior suggested that Caicedo’s performance could be crucial in determining the outcome of the high-profile fixture, as Chelsea look to compete against one of the league’s strongest sides.
