Chelsea FC have officially dismissed head coach Liam Rosenior following a sustained period of poor performance in the Premier League.
The decision was confirmed on Wednesday evening, coming just one day after the club suffered a 3–0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The result marked Chelsea’s fifth consecutive league loss and contributed to their drop to seventh position in the standings, dealing a significant setback to their aspirations of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
Rosenior had assumed the managerial role in January, arriving from RC Strasbourg Alsace to replace Enzo Maresca. However, his tenure proved short-lived, as the team struggled to achieve consistent results and failed to score during the recent losing streak.
The development was reported by Fabrizio Romano, who indicated that the club had taken immediate action in light of the situation.
“Chelsea have decided to SACK Liam Rosenior with immediate effect.
“It’s OVER after 4 months, and 5 consecutive defeats with 0 goals scored.”
