EPL: Chelsea Appoint Interim Manager After Rosenior Sack

Chelsea FC have confirmed the appointment of Calum McFarlane as interim head coach of the first team, a role he will hold until the conclusion of the current season.

The announcement follows the club’s decision to part ways with former head coach Liam Rosenior earlier on Wednesday, after a period of unsatisfactory results.

In an official statement, the club outlined McFarlane’s immediate responsibilities, confirming that he will oversee the team’s preparations and management for the upcoming FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United this weekend, in addition to guiding the team through the remainder of the season.

The development suggests that the club intends to undertake a comprehensive search for a permanent managerial appointment ahead of the next campaign at Stamford Bridge.

“Calum McFarlane will serve as interim head coach until the end of the season, with support from the existing club staff.
Our goal is to achieve European qualification and continue in the FA Cup.

“As we work towards stability in the head coach role, we will carry out a thorough review to make the right long-term appointment.”
