Two students and a staff member of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) were affected by the recent Angwan Rukuba attack in Plateau State, which left at least 28 people dead.
The victims include two 300-level students and a hall officer. Following the incident, Vice Chancellor Tanko Ishaya visited the injured at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) alongside other university officials.
He confirmed that the victims are recovering and praised the hospital for its response.
“Thankfully, all of them are responding well to treatment,” he stated.
The university leadership also called for prayers and support for the victims, as well as peace across the country.
GoNews reported earlier that UNIJOS postponed exams scheduled for Monday and Tuesday following rising tension in Jos after a deadly attack in Anguwan Rukuba, Jos North.
