Troops engaged in ongoing security operations in Kaduna State have recovered three motorcycles during a patrol targeting suspected criminal hideouts in Jema’a Local Government Area.
The operation was carried out by personnel from Sector 7 under Operation Enduring Peace, as part of sustained efforts to track and pressure fleeing criminal groups operating within the region.
According to security sources, the patrol began in the early hours of Saturday at approximately 1:40 a.m., a time often associated with heightened criminal movement.
During the exercise, troops advanced through the Dogo Fili Forest, an area long believed to provide cover for suspected criminals. The movement formed part of a broader strategy aimed at locating and disrupting these groups while limiting their ability to operate freely.
“During the operation, troops recovered three motorcycles believed to have been abandoned by the criminals on sighting the advancing forces,” a source said.
The recovered motorcycles have been taken into custody by the troops, with further action expected as investigations continue.
Security authorities noted that such recoveries are significant in weakening criminal logistics, as motorcycles are commonly used for mobility in difficult terrains.
Officials emphasized that the patrol is one of several ongoing measures designed to curb criminal activities and restrict the movement of armed groups across Kaduna State.
They reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining pressure on these elements and improving security within affected communities.
