Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has opened up about his strained relationship with Funke Akindele, revealing what he believes led to their fallout.
Speaking during a livestream, Fabiyi claimed that his friendship with the filmmaker changed after he completed building his house. According to him, that moment marked the end of their communication, despite insisting that he did nothing wrong.
“Our industry is very terrible. Those whom you think are good people aren’t. Funke Akindele was my friend from way back. The day I told her that I had completed my house was the last day she ever talked to me, and I didn’t offend her,” he said.
The actor also expressed disappointment with the entertainment industry, describing it as deceptive and suggesting that some individuals present themselves as kind and genuine but are not truly so.
Fabiyi’s comments have sparked conversations about relationships and loyalty within the Nigerian film industry.
