Troops Arrest ISWAP Collaborator in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a man suspected of collaborating with ISWAP terrorists in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspect was apprehended on March 27 by troops of the 25 Brigade and 19 Battalion, alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force.

The suspect, a resident of an IDP camp in Maiduguri, is believed to have links with terrorist groups operating in the Damboa axis.

“He confessed to being involved in the sale of ammunition to terrorist elements at the Timbuktu Triangle,” Makama said.

The suspect is currently in military custody as investigations continue.
