Omah Lay Opens Up About His ‘Weird’ Personality

Nigerian singer Omah Lay has opened up about how his personality influences his relationships and friendships within the music industry.

Speaking during a recent episode of the Nando Leaks podcast, the artist whose real name is Omah Stanley Didia described himself as having a “weird” personality, noting that it has naturally limited his social circle.

“I have a very weird personality, I believe I am just that guy, so I don’t have a lot of friends. I don’t talk to a lot of people, just very few people and those people are people who try to come into my world and understand where I am going,” he said.

Despite this, the singer explained that he is comfortable with maintaining a small group of close connections who understand him.

He also pointed out that building friendships in the industry can be challenging, attributing it to strong personalities and egos among artists.

“The Nigerian music scene is full of egos. I am a chill guy but I have too much ego. It is hard to make friends like that,” he added.
