Omah Lay has expressed strong confidence in his future, projecting that he will become the wealthiest African artist within the next few years.
In an interview with Kiss Xtra, the 28-year-old artist spoke about his ambitions beyond music, including building systems capable of creating global impact.
“I am crazy. My head is not correct. I need to create art to feel good. I am going to be the wealthiest African artiste ever in a few years. I am going to build stuff that would change the world,” he said.
He also acknowledged the influence of several global music figures on his artistic journey, citing Wizkid, Burna Boy, Drake, The Weeknd, and Harry Styles as key inspirations.
“I have my idols. Wizkid, Burna Boy, Drake, The Weeknd, and Harry Styles are my idols. These are people I look up to musically,” he added.
