Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has responded to allegations made by her colleague and former associate, Yomi Fabiyi.
Taking to her Instagram page on Sunday, Akindele reacted to the claims in a subtle but pointed manner. Without directly mentioning Fabiyi’s name, the actress dismissed the allegations and suggested that actions have consequences.
”I laugh in Swahili. You will reap what you sow,” she wrote.
Fabiyi had earlier made the claims during a livestream, where he spoke about the state of relationships within the film industry. According to him, his friendship with Akindele ended abruptly after he shared news of completing his house.
“Our industry is very terrible. Those whom you think are good people aren’t. Funke Akindele was my friend from way back. The day I told her that I had completed my house was the last day she ever talked to me, and I didn’t offend her,” he said.
The exchange has sparked conversations among fans and industry observers, highlighting ongoing tensions and differing perspectives within Nollywood.
