US Israel Iran Strike: 5 Killed Near Strait of Hormuz

At least five people have been killed after strikes reportedly conducted by the United States and Israel targeted an Iranian city near the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Iranian state media, the attack struck a quay in the port city of Bandar Khamir on Sunday, leaving multiple casualties. The country’s official news agency, Islamic Republic News Agency, confirmed the incident, stating that the “enemy executed a criminal assault on the quay of Bandar Khamir, resulting in five fatalities and four injuries.”

In a separate development, residents in the capital, Tehran, reported a series of loud explosions on Sunday. The blasts were heard across northern parts of the city, with smoke seen rising from affected locations.

The Israel Defense Forces said it carried out strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure. According to the IDF, the operation focused on command centers and weapons-related facilities.

In a post shared on X, the military detailed that the targeted sites included “facilities for the production and storage of ballistic missiles, aerial defense systems, and observation posts belonging to the Iranian regime.”

The IDF also indicated that some Iranian command centers had been relocated to temporary locations, adding that “Several temporary command centers were dismantled, including commanders who were operating within the headquarters.”

The situation remains tense as developments continue to unfold across the region.
