Arsenal F.C. manager Mikel Arteta has called on his players to approach the coming fixtures with intensity and confidence as the season reaches a critical stage.
The Gunners face Sporting CP in the second leg of their European tie on Wednesday, holding a slim 1-0 advantage from the first meeting.
Ahead of the decisive clash, Arteta delivered a passionate message about mindset and approach.
“No fear, pure fire. That’s it. “The opportunity is unbelievable. Let’s confront it, let’s go for it,” he said.
He doubled down on his stance when asked about pressure, insisting the team must play without hesitation.
“Fire. I’m on fire. That’s it. Zero fear,” he added.
Despite a recent dip in Premier League form, Arsenal remain in contention across competitions. The team will also face Manchester City F.C. in a crucial league fixture that could impact the title race.
Forward Eberechi Eze echoed the manager’s sentiments, pointing to the squad’s unity and motivation.
“The boss is passionate, and you can see the fire he has,” he said. “It’s about us and what we do.”
