Arsenal FC manager Mikel Arteta has underlined his team’s attacking intent ahead of their crucial Premier League showdown against Manchester City FC, insisting that playing for a draw is not part of the plan.
The highly anticipated clash will take place at the Etihad Stadium, where both sides will be battling for control of the title race.
Arsenal head into the fixture with a six-point advantage at the top of the table. However, they have played one more match than their closest rivals, adding extra weight to the encounter.
Even with the potential advantage a draw could offer, Arteta has dismissed any suggestion that his side might adopt a cautious approach. Instead, he emphasized a consistent mindset that prioritizes winning, regardless of the opponent or venue.
“We want to win the game. We are there to win the game. We haven’t talked about that [a draw]. We need to win the game.
“And we are preparing to win the game. There will be no difference to any stadium we have been to in the last five years. There’s no change there.”
