Man United Open Talks With Carrick Over Manager Job

Manchester United have reportedly started formal negotiations with interim boss Michael Carrick regarding the possibility of becoming the club’s permanent manager.

Reports from talkSPORT claim Carrick is now in a favourable position to secure the role ahead of the new season, with growing support from influential figures within the club’s hierarchy.

The former Manchester United midfielder took over managerial duties in January after Ruben Amorim left the position.

Since stepping in, Carrick is believed to have impressed members of the club’s senior leadership team, who are expected to discuss the managerial situation further during an executive committee meeting scheduled for later this week.

Despite the growing speculation, Manchester United have maintained that no final appointment has been made. Club officials reportedly insist that the selection process is still ongoing and that several candidates are being considered.

However, sources close to the situation indicate that the current momentum appears to favour Carrick, who is increasingly seen as the leading contender to take charge permanently before the start of next season.
