Data from Opta revealed that the Portuguese midfielder has now created 120 chances in the Premier League this season. This marks the highest number of chances created by any Manchester United player in a single campaign since detailed records began in 2003–04.
Interestingly, Fernandes broke his own record in the process, having previously set the benchmark at 119 chances during the 2022–23 season.
Beyond that milestone, Fernandes has demonstrated remarkable consistency in chance creation. He has produced five or more chances in 14 different league matches during the 2025–26 season, a figure unmatched by any player in the same period.
The only player to surpass that mark in a single season remains former Mesut Özil, who achieved the feat 15 times during the 2015–16 campaign with Arsenal FC.
