Manchester United legend Roy Keane has criticised Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte following the club’s 2-1 Premier League loss to Leeds United.
Keane expressed frustration with the midfield duo, pointing to their lack of urgency and overall impact, particularly during a disappointing first-half performance at Old Trafford.
Leeds secured all three points thanks to a brace from Noah Okafor, capitalising on United’s slow start against Michael Carrick’s side.
Reacting after the match, Keane did not hold back, questioning the contribution of the midfielders.
“They weren’t sprinting. United. And the bit at the end was too little too late. It’s a big setback for them,” he said.
He further criticised their display, adding, “The midfield? Nonexistent. Those two (Casemiro and Ugarte), especially in the first half—no energy, no quality.
“Leeds were out of the blocks quickly, and it was a fantastic result for Leeds.”
