Chelsea legend John Terry has openly expressed concern about the current state of Chelsea FC, warning that the club could be forced to part ways with some of its top players when the summer transfer window begins.
The 45-year-old former England international also cast doubt on the club’s chances of securing a place in European competitions next season, highlighting what he sees as a challenging period for the west London side.
Terry made the remarks in a TikTok video shared shortly after the reported sacking of Liam Rosenior, a development that has further raised questions about stability at the club.
Reflecting on Chelsea’s current position, Terry questioned whether elite managers would be willing to step into the role given the existing constraints and uncertainties.
“Is a real top manager going to come to Chelsea FC at the moment in the position we’re in? We cannot buy players, looking like we’re going to have to sell potentially our best players, which is always tough,” Terry stated.
He also expressed concern over the club’s prospects in continental football, suggesting that missing out on European competition could become a reality.
“We will not be playing in European football, I hope I’m wrong.”
