Former Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi has backed a potential move for Poland captain Robert Lewandowski, insisting the veteran forward could make a significant impact at Old Trafford.
Rossi believes the experienced striker would not only strengthen Manchester United’s attack but also serve as a valuable mentor for younger players within the squad.
The former Italy international suggested that United should consider signing Lewandowski this summer, particularly as the club continues to explore options to bolster its frontline.
Speaking on the possibility of the move, Rossi said:
“Robert Lewandowski to Man Utd? Yeah, why not?
“Of course, Lewandowski would be an incredible asset for the young players, providing his experience and big-game knowledge.”
Lewandowski is reportedly approaching the end of his contract with Barcelona and could become available as the transfer window progresses.
Rossi also believes the veteran striker’s presence could help accelerate the development of younger attacking talents, including Benjamin Sesko, should the Slovenian eventually join the club.
