Pep Guardiola has called on West Ham United F.C. to do Manchester City F.C. a favour in the Premier League title race.
Guardiola made the appeal after Manchester City defeated Brentford F.C. 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Goals from Jérémy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush helped City close the gap on league leaders Arsenal F.C. to two points.
With Arsenal scheduled to face West Ham on Sunday, Guardiola used the opportunity to appeal to the London club for help in the title race.
According to ESPN, the City manager crossed his arms in a gesture linked to West Ham supporters and said, “come on you Irons.”
Guardiola also praised Arsenal’s consistency this season while discussing the title battle.
“We are fighting with a team in the final of the Champions League without losing a game and have been top of the league almost all season,” he said.
