The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has urged women across the country to rally support for the party as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
The call was made on Sunday by Maryam Ringim during a mobilisation meeting held with party supporters in Dutse.
Speaking at the gathering, Ringim highlighted the critical role women play in political participation, grassroots mobilisation and electoral success.
She encouraged Nigerian women to actively register as members of the PRP and mobilise support for the party within their communities, stressing that women remain a powerful force in shaping election outcomes across the country.
According to her, the party is focused on promoting inclusive governance and implementing programmes that would create more opportunities for women and young people.
The PRP chieftain also called on party supporters nationwide to intensify grassroots campaigns and membership drives ahead of the party primaries and the 2027 general elections.
Ringim expressed optimism that with strong backing from women and youths, the party would become more competitive and challenge the ruling party effectively in the next election cycle.
