Nigerian record producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has showered praise on alternative music star Johnny Drille, describing him as the best and most complete musician in the Nigerian music industry.
The music executive made the remarks while speaking during a recent episode of the Crea8torium podcast.
According to Don Jazzy, Johnny Drille possesses a rare level of versatility and originality that sets him apart from other artists in the industry.
He explained that the singer is highly skilled in multiple areas of music production, including songwriting, singing and mixing.
“If you look at the Nigerian music industry right now, there is nobody like Johnny Drille. He is in a world of his own. He is like the best musician – the complete musician that I know,” Don Jazzy said.
The Mavin boss added that Johnny Drille’s ability to maintain the same vocal quality during live performances further proves his talent and professionalism.
“He is versatile. He mix, write, sing. He does everything.
“He is also an amazing performer – the way he sounds in the studio is the same way he sounds in live shows,” he added.
Johnny Drille is widely known for his soulful sound, emotional songwriting and blend of alternative, folk and Afro-influenced music styles.
