PDP Denies Court Injunction on 2026 Convention

The Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Mrakpor, has dismissed reports claiming a court injunction is blocking the party’s national convention scheduled for March 29–30, 2026, in Abuja.

Mrakpor, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, described the claims as false and misleading, noting that there is no legal barrier to the convention. He said the party remains fully prepared, with all arrangements in place for the event to proceed as planned.

He urged delegates from Delta State to ignore what he called “rumour mongers” and participate fully, warning that such misinformation is aimed at causing confusion within the party.

“Our convention will hold as scheduled. There is no court injunction. The claims are false and misleading,” Mrakpor assured.
