Otuaro Expresses Confidence in PDP National Convention

Former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Kingsley Otuaro, has expressed optimism about the preparations for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s upcoming National Convention.

Otuaro, a key PDP figure in Delta State, spoke after the party’s 107th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, where he also praised the efforts of the convention planning team.

Looking ahead to the convention scheduled for October 29 and 30, he urged Nigerians to support the PDP, emphasizing the party’s commitment to internal democracy and credible leadership.

He particularly commended the Planning Committee led by former Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, describing their work as a strong indication that the convention would be well-organized.

Otuaro expressed confidence that the committee would deliver a smooth, transparent process that would produce trusted leaders to guide the party into future elections.

“The planning committee is working diligently to ensure a hitch-free convention that will usher in credible leaders and strengthen the party’s democratic values.”

He also encouraged party members and Nigerians to participate in the ongoing electronic membership registration, noting that it is aimed at improving transparency and widening participation within the party.

“The PDP remains focused on presenting competent and credible candidates in upcoming elections. The party’s commitment to good governance and national development,” he added.

The convention is expected to play a major role in shaping the PDP’s leadership and positioning ahead of future political contests.
