Tinubu Postpones Ogun Trip, Visits Plateau

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has cancelled his planned visit to Iperu in Ogun State, where he was scheduled to inaugurate operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport.

The change in schedule was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the president’s Special Adviser on Strategy and Information, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, the president will instead travel to Jos to commiserate with the government and people of Plateau State following the recent gun attacks that claimed the lives of several innocent citizens.

After the visit to Jos, Tinubu is expected to proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday, before returning to Ogun State on Saturday, April 4, for the previously scheduled engagement.

The president is also expected to travel to Bayelsa State on April 10, where he will commission projects completed by Governor Duoye Diri.

The adjustment in the president’s itinerary reflects ongoing efforts to respond to pressing national issues while maintaining scheduled official engagements across the country.
