The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced an extension of its Student Loan Application Portal for institutions that formally requested additional time for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Akintunde Sawyerr, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND, confirmed this development in a statement released on Thursday.
Sawyerr clarified that this extension is exclusively for institutions that submitted official requests to NELFUND, seeking more time to allow their eligible students to complete their applications on the NELFUND Student Loan Portal.
He reiterated the Fund’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that all eligible Nigerian students have access to the student loan program.
“NELFUND remains committed to ensuring that eligible students across participating institutions have the opportunity to access the student loan programme,” he stated.
NELFUND encourages all eligible students within the affected institutions to take full advantage of this extended period and finalize their applications through the official NELFUND portal.
