Nigeria Should Be Thankful for Refining Capacity – Wale Edun

Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance, has expressed that Nigeria should be grateful for its capability to refine crude oil into petrochemicals and various petroleum products.

Edun made this statement on Wednesday during an interview on ‘Politics Today,’ a program aired on Channels Television.

He was discussing the current state of Nigeria’s economy.

According to the minister, it is crucial to recognize that the Nigerian economy’s resilience largely stems from the significant private sector investment in refining.

“I think we should be thankful at this time for the capacity we have in Nigeria to refine crude into petrochemicals and petroleum products.

“America is now rushing to open another refinery,” the minister noted.
