The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that it has neutralized over 190 terrorists, including Abu Hamza Rami, a Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) commander in Lebanon.
The IDF shared this information in a post on X on Sunday, providing updates on a week of intense combat against Hezbollah.
They noted that more than 600 terror targets were hit across Lebanon through air, sea, and ground operations, utilizing 820 munitions.
“600 plus terror targets were struck across Lebanon from the air, sea, and ground using 820 munitions,” the IDF tweeted.
“190 plus terrorists were eliminated, including Abu Hamza Rami, Commander of PIJ in Lebanon, along with several senior commanders.
“27 waves of strikes were conducted in Beirut, including five in the Dahieh area.”
Meanwhile, two Israeli soldiers lost their lives in Lebanon.
These deaths in southern Lebanon mark the first casualties among Israeli troops since hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah resumed last week.
One of the fallen soldiers was identified by the IDF as Master Sergeant Maher Khatar, 38, from Majdal Shams, who served in the Combat Engineering Corps of the 91st division.
The other soldier’s name has not yet been released, and no further details regarding their deaths have been provided.
