The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced the elimination of Abu al-Qassem Baba’iyan, who served as the new head of the Military Office of Iran’s Supreme Leader and Chief of Staff of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.
In a statement released via X on Sunday, the IDF indicated that Baba’iyan was responsible for coordinating operations among various military bodies within the Iranian government.
According to the Israeli military, he played a crucial role in orchestrating operational and emergency activities across Iran’s armed forces.
The IDF stated that this elimination is part of a series of operations targeting high-ranking Iranian officials since the commencement of “Operation Roaring Lion” and preceding military actions.
IDF wrote: “ELIMINATED: Abu al-Qassem Baba’iyan, the new Head of the Military Office of the Supreme Leader and the Chief of Staff of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.
“Baba’iyan was responsible for coordinating between the Iranian terror regime’s various force employment organizations to execute operations and emergency operations.
“His elimination joins a series of eliminations of senior figures in the Iranian terror regime conducted by the IDF since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion and prior to it.”
