Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recovered 84 livestock after disrupting a cattle rustling attempt in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The operation, carried out by the 4 Division Demonstration Battalion at FOB Dumbi, followed credible intelligence about rustling activities in the Pan Daudu area early Friday morning.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, troops moved quickly and set up an ambush at a key crossing point.
“Following the information, troops swiftly mobilised and laid ambush at a suspected crossing point between Lamban Zango and Monday Market in Igabi Local Government Area.
“The terrorists, upon sighting the troops’ position, fled in disarray, abandoning 84 rustled livestock.”
The recovered animals were later returned to their rightful owners.
