Music producer and executive Don Jazzy has opened up about his approach to fame, revealing why he chooses not to dwell on the downsides that come with success.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Keeping It Real With Jima podcast, the Mavin Records boss explained that he is careful about complaining, as he believes doing so could have unintended consequences.
When asked what success had brought into his life that he did not necessarily want, he responded with a reflective perspective.
“I like everything that God gave me. Obviously, there are sometimes that you just wish that somethings were different. But I’m not wishing for anything different, I’m just saying before God will now decide to adjust my life [laughs].”
His response suggests a mindset rooted in gratitude, even when acknowledging that fame can come with its own challenges.
Don Jazzy also spoke about his desire to do more for others, noting that while he is grateful for his current level of success, he sometimes feels limited in the extent of impact he can make.
He added that in another lifetime, he would hope to be even more financially empowered in order to reach and support more people.
