Tonto Dikeh Urges Strong Private Life with God

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has explained the inspiration behind her growing presence in online prayer sessions, highlighting the importance of a strong personal relationship with God.

Speaking during a sermon, she said her public expressions of faith are rooted in a deeply cultivated private spiritual life developed away from public attention.

“Before you see what you see here today, I have marinated, immersed myself with my God. This is not a joke. This is preparation. This is purpose, grace, assignment,” she said.

Dikeh stressed that public devotion should reflect, not replace, personal time with God.

“You need to build a private life with God, where nobody is watching — away from the internet, away from your friends. Let it be that when you come to the internet to pray or talk about God, you have already done it in your privacy,” she stated.

She also shared how her prayer life transformed after becoming a Christian, noting that consistency and genuine devotion are key to spiritual growth.

“A month after I gave my life to Christ, I realised there was nothing I prayed for that I did not get… He taught me intimacy with Him.”

“God is not looking for people who love Him in the front yard and desert Him at the back. The moment God sees your consistency and your love for Him, He will avail you with all that you have,” she added.
