The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) branch at Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Kebbi State, has warned it may embark on industrial action over unresolved welfare issues.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, branch chairman Dr Musa Isah Fakai said several agreed benefits between ASUU and the Federal Government remain unimplemented despite repeated engagements with the university management and state authorities.
The union listed unpaid academic earned allowances, outstanding wage awards, delayed promotions, and unpaid promotion arrears among its concerns.
ASUU also noted that annual salary increments have not been implemented for years, worsening staff welfare.
While expressing confidence in Nasir Idris to address the situation, the union warned it could be forced to take action if the issues persist.
