The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a planned maintenance exercise on its 60MVA 132/33kV transformer at the Minna Transmission Substation.
According to a statement issued in Abuja by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, the maintenance will take place on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“TCN hereby informs the public that a maintenance exercise will be carried out on its 60MVA 132/33kV transformer at the Minna Transmission Substation on Thursday, between 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.,” Mbah said.
She explained that the exercise will lead to a temporary power outage in several areas served by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company.
Communities expected to be affected include Zarumai, Maitumbi, General Hospital Minna, IBB Uphill, parts of Tunga, Bosso, and surrounding areas.
Mbah apologized for the inconvenience, assuring residents that the maintenance is necessary to improve the reliability of electricity supply in the region.
