Italy football legend Alessandro Del Piero has predicted that Bayern Munich will go on to win the Champions League ahead of Arsenal.
Del Piero made the remark during an appearance on CBS Sports after the Bundesliga champions defeated Atalanta 6-1 in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.
The former Juventus star said Bayern Munich have now emerged as the strongest side remaining in the competition, overtaking Arsenal in his view.
Del Piero said: “I truly believe that this moment, they are the best team.
“Maybe a couple of months ago, Arsenal had something about them.
“In my opinion, the other teams are struggling a little bit.
“So they have more chances to win it more than other teams.”
