UCL: Arteta Receives Injury Boost Ahead of Bayer Leverkusen Match

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has received a significant boost with three key players returning to training as they gear up to face Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

William Saliba, Leandro Trossard, and Riccardo Calafiori were all observed participating in Tuesday morning’s training session, signaling their potential availability for the crucial match.

Saliba, the French defender, has been sidelined for the Gunners’ previous two fixtures against Brighton and Mansfield Town, having sustained an ankle injury during their 2-1 victory over Chelsea.

Both Calafiori and Trossard had to be withdrawn from the pitch due to injuries during the 2-1 win at Mansfield in the FA Cup fifth round.

However, there was a note of concern as captain Martin Odegaard and defender Ben White were not seen training with the squad, raising questions about their fitness for the upcoming encounter.
