Ademola Lookman is expected to miss some action after suffering an adductor injury, according to confirmation from Atlético Madrid.
The injury occurred during Atlético’s Copa del Rey final clash against Real Sociedad in Sevilla on Saturday. The encounter ended in a 2-2 draw after regulation time, but Sociedad ultimately secured a 4-3 win in the penalty shootout.
Lookman made a strong impact in the game, scoring Atlético’s opening goal in the first half. However, his outing was cut short when he was taken off in the 62nd minute and replaced by Nicolás González.
Medical assessments have since confirmed the injury, and the winger has begun a tailored recovery program. For now, he is training separately from the rest of the squad as a precautionary measure.
