Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is expected to return to action later this month after recovering from a hand injury.
According to Galatasaray reporter Ali Naci Küçük, the Nigerian forward will miss several upcoming fixtures as he continues his recovery.
Osimhen picked up the injury during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg defeat to Liverpool earlier this month.
Küçük revealed that Osimhen will sit out matches against Trabzonspor, Göztepe, Kocaelispor, and Gençlerbirliği, but is likely to make his comeback in the high-profile derby against Fenerbahçe.
Galatasaray are scheduled to host their fierce rivals at Rams Park on April 26 in a crucial Turkish Super Lig encounter.
“Victor Osimhen will be on the field for the Fenerbahçe derby unless something negative happens,” Küçük was quoted as saying.
“He himself has stated this clearly. Osimhen told Dursun Özbek, ‘Don’t worry, President. I will be on the field, and we will be champions.’”
