Jose Mourinho has reaffirmed his openness to remain at Benfica, stating that his future depends entirely on the club’s decision.
The experienced coach, who is currently under contract until 2027, has recently been linked with a possible departure this summer. However, he downplayed speculation following Benfica’s 2-0 victory over Nacional.
“It all depends on the club’s wishes,” Mourinho said.
“My desire to stay at Benfica isn’t conditional on anything from my part; it doesn’t depend on investment in the team.”
Despite having a contract in place, Mourinho’s deal reportedly includes a clause that allows either party to terminate the agreement in May.
