TalkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham has advised Arsenal youngster Max Dowman to leave the club this summer, warning that his development could stall under manager Mikel Arteta.
Durham argued that the 16-year-old would benefit from continuing his career elsewhere, pointing to Myles Lewis-Skelly’s situation as an example.
“Max Dowman needs to leave Arsenal as soon as possible,” he said.
“Dowman has seen Myles Lewis-Skelly’s career derailed by Mikel Arteta… So Max Dowman needs to take a look at these things and realise that he’s just another tick in Mikel Arteta’s box.”
Despite Durham’s comments, Dowman recently impressed by scoring a late goal against Everton after coming off the bench.
