Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has denied reports suggesting plans for an Initial Public Offering (IPO), describing the claims as misleading.
In a statement on Friday, the company warned against the “circulation of unauthorised information across various media and social platforms”, saying such reports are “unofficial”, “unverified”, and sometimes “inaccurate”.
It added that “Such reports do not originate from DPRP and should be treated with caution”, stressing that “all official updates regarding any potential transaction will be communicated strictly through DPRP’s formal public disclosures.”
The clarification comes despite earlier remarks by Aliko Dangote indicating that a future listing of the refinery remains possible.
The company urged investors and the public to ignore speculation and rely only on verified information from official sources.
