‘We Won’t Follow Unlawful Whistles’ – ADC Replies Onanuga

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has responded to criticism from presidential aide Bayo Onanuga, insisting it will not be intimidated by what it described as illegitimate directives.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party rejected claims that it was acting unlawfully, stressing that it simply chose not to follow instructions it considers invalid.

The response came after Onanuga wrote: “Just continue your illegality, the lawless ADC. The dog that wants to get lost in the forest will ignore the hunter’s whistle.”

Replying, Abdullahi used a metaphor to defend the party’s position.

“The hunter you speak of has no jurisdiction in this forest,” Abdullahi said.

“ADC is not lost; we are simply not following unlawful whistles. Besides, don’t forget, the forest hides that which hunts the hunter,” he said.

He maintained that the party remains committed to operating within the law and will not be deterred by political pressure.
