Lagos APC Denies Delegates Abandoned in Abuja

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims that its delegates were abandoned during the party’s national convention in Abuja, describing the reports as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, urged members of the public to ignore stories suggesting that Lagos delegates encountered logistical difficulties due to the alleged non-release of mobilisation funds.

Oladejo explained that all accredited delegates from Lagos were transported to Abuja in a well-coordinated manner, with proper arrangements made to ensure their comfort throughout the trip.

He also noted that upon arrival, the delegates were adequately accommodated, directly countering the circulating claims.

The spokesperson further clarified that the Lagos State Government is not responsible for funding party activities, stressing that the APC handles its logistics and operations internally.

He advised the public to rely on verified information and be cautious about spreading unconfirmed reports.

Reaffirming its stance, the Lagos APC emphasized its commitment to unity within the party and its continued support for governance efforts at both the state and federal levels.
