The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged opposition parties to stop contesting the outcome of the 2027 general elections and instead shift their focus to future political engagements, particularly the 2031 polls.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made this known on Tuesday, March 25, 2026, in Abuja while reacting to ongoing disputes from opposition groups over the election results.
He maintained that the outcome of the election is settled and should be accepted in the interest of national progress.
He said, “the opposition must accept the reality of the election and move forward rather than dwell on what he described as settled matters”.
He added that “The 2027 elections have been concluded and the mandate freely given to our party by Nigerians is not in doubt, those still agitating should channel their energy towards preparing for 2031.”
Morka stressed that continuous disputes over concluded elections do not strengthen democracy, noting that the ruling party remains focused on governance and fulfilling its promises to Nigerians.
He also encouraged opposition parties to embrace issue-based politics, emphasizing that “constructive engagement”, rather than distraction, is what the country needs at this time.
