APC Inaugurates Campaign Directorate for Ekiti Election

The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has inaugurated its campaign directorate as part of preparations for the June 20 governorship election, with a target of securing 500,000 votes.

In addition to setting up the directorate, the party also unveiled campaign vehicles assigned to each local government area. The move is aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation and ensuring an effective campaign presence across the state.

According to the State Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, the directorate is made up of experienced party members assigned to various strategic units. These include Strategy, Policy, Research and Organisation, Media and Communications, Mobilisation, Logistics and Field Operations, Women and Special Groups, Finance and Fundraising, Security and Protocol, and Legal Affairs.

The structure also features campaign coordinators across all 16 local government areas and 22 local council development areas, who are expected to drive engagement at the grassroots level.

Speaking during the inauguration, Campaign Director-General Cyril Fasuyi emphasised the scale of the party’s ambition.

“We are not working for victory, we are working to make history,” he declared.

Fasuyi outlined the party’s strategy, noting that it aims to secure victory across all 2,445 polling units in the state. He added that the campaign will focus on showcasing the achievements of Governor Biodun Oyebanji while ensuring inclusiveness and engagement with citizens at all levels.

The directorate is expected to work closely with party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters to deliver a successful election outcome.

The party also expressed confidence in Oyebanji’s leadership, citing ongoing development initiatives across the state as a key strength in its campaign message.
