The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed a new venue for its upcoming national convention scheduled to take place in Abuja.
In a post shared on its official X account, the party announced that the event will now hold at the Rainbow Event Centre, citing its central location and accessibility for delegates traveling from across the country.
It said, “Venue for the ADC National Convention: Rainbow Event Center Plot 1193A, Off Southern Parkway, Garki Area 8, Abuja.
“Landmarks: Located behind the FCDA/AGIS Building and in close proximity to the NTA Headquarters, Area 11.”
The update comes after earlier uncertainty over securing a venue, with Kola Ologbondiyan previously stating that the party had yet to finalize arrangements less than a day before the convention.
“Twenty-four hours to the ADC National Convention, the Nigerians-aligned political party is yet to be issued a venue,” he said.
He also revealed that attempts to use Eagle Square and facilities within the Moshood Abiola National Stadium were unsuccessful.
However, Nyesom Wike dismissed the claims, stating that no formal request had been submitted and emphasizing that public venues remain available to all groups that follow due process.
“We do not deny access; these events actually generate revenue for the government.
“Who denied them? I am not aware of any such development, and I don’t even know which party you are referring to,” he said.
