U.S. President Donald Trump has shut the door on any potential diplomatic end to the conflict with Iran, maintaining that he will settle for nothing less than a total capitulation.
Posting to his Truth Social account on Friday, Trump declared that there will be no deal with Iran except “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
The President also emphasized that the U.S. and its partners are dedicated to working around the clock to rebuild the country once a suitable new leader is in place.
This hardline stance follows the recent joint U.S.-Israeli military operation that claimed the life of the Iranian Supreme Leader.
Trump has previously suggested he intends to have a direct say in who takes over the leadership role.
Wrapping up his message with a nod to his trademark political branding, he wrote, “LET’S MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN.
