President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that the economic reforms introduced by his administration are beginning to yield results.
In a message marking his 74th birthday, Tinubu acknowledged the challenges faced since the reforms began but said there are clear signs of progress.
“As I mark this special day… I’m glad that our sacrifices have not been in vain as we can see some glittering light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.
The President noted that the achievements were a collective effort and not solely his, adding that the support of Nigerians has been crucial.
He also explained his decision to mark his birthday quietly due to the current national mood, while thanking citizens for their prayers and goodwill messages.
“I want to take this moment to thank Nigerians for their messages, show of love and prayers,” he added.
The President also thanked his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their kind remarks.
