Nigerian singer Tems has reportedly become the most streamed African artist on Spotify, surpassing 40 million monthly listeners.

The Grammy-winning star is said to have reached over 40.1 million listeners, placing her ahead of other African acts on the platform.

Her rapid rise has been fueled by successful collaborations and hit releases, including “Essence” with Wizkid, as well as projects with global stars like Drake and Future.

Tems also gained further recognition after contributing to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack and winning a Grammy for her role in Future’s “Wait for U.”

Her latest milestone highlights the growing global influence of Afrobeats on streaming platforms.
