President Bola Tinubu has approved a series of appointments, naming former senator Ibrahim Ida as Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
He also nominated seven individuals as Federal Commissioners of the National Population Commission (NPC), subject to Senate confirmation, according to a statement by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga.
The nominations are intended to fill existing vacancies and strengthen the commission’s operations.
In a related move, Tinubu appointed Yusuf Mohammed as Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo, and confirmed Bala Mohammed Bello as Special Adviser on Political Economy.
Bello, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, previously served at the Nigerian Export-Import Bank.
The presidency said the appointments reflect confidence in the appointees’ ability to support the administration’s agenda and improve the welfare of Nigerians.
