NYSC Releases 2026 Batch A Stream II Call-Up Letters

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released call-up letters for prospective corps members in the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II, marking a key stage in the mobilisation process.

Checks indicate that call-up numbers and deployment details were uploaded to the NYSC portal in the early hours of Monday. Many prospective corps members confirmed that the portal became active during that period, allowing them to begin checking their postings.

However, access to the platform was not without challenges. A large number of users reported difficulty logging in due to heavy traffic on the site, with delays experienced across different regions.

“There is traffic,” one prospective corps member said, highlighting the congestion faced while trying to access the portal.

Similar concerns were echoed across social media, where candidates complained about slow loading times, late access, and uncertainty regarding their states of deployment.

Prospective corps members can check their call-up letters through the official NYSC portals.

The release comes shortly after the scheme announced its timetable for the orientation exercise. In a statement signed by NYSC spokesperson Caroline Embu, details of the schedule were outlined.

“The Orientation Course will commence with reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, and end at midnight of Friday, 24th April 2026,” the statement read.

According to the timetable, the swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for April 24, while the full orientation programme will run until May 12.

The NYSC also issued an advisory to prospective corps members, urging them to prioritise their safety when travelling to their respective orientation camps.

“Prospective Corps Members are advised to break their journeys once it’s 6.00 pm… and continue the following morning,” it stated.

With the release of call-up letters, the final phase of mobilisation is now underway, as thousands of graduates prepare to begin their mandatory national service across the country.
